MEDITECH is pleased Access will be collaborating with us on the MaaS offering. The partnership will help healthcare organizations streamline the patient registration process and allow care providers to focus on what matters most — their patients.

Access today announced that its Patient Electronic Signatures solution will be one of the third party solutions that will be part of the new MEDITECH as a Service (MaaS) solution. This cloud-based subscription offering will enable Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) to get up and running with MEDITECH’s Web Enterprise Health Record (EHR) in just six months, and will help them transform slow paper-centric forms processes into fast paperless ones.

“We’re excited about the expansion of our collaboration with MEDITECH,” said Access CEO Tim Elliott. “This new solution will enable hospitals to remove paper, costs and hassle from their registration and consent processes, while taking full advantage of the powerful MEDITECH Web EHR platform.”

The new solution will enable staff to quickly and conveniently capture secure electronic patient signatures on registration packet documentation, consents and other eForms. These will then be sent directly into the correct patient’s record via integration with MEDITECH’s Web EHR. Introducing electronic forms and signatures will speed up the registration process, eliminate paper, cut costs, provide a great first impression for the patient, and empower team members to focus on patients instead of paperwork.

"MEDITECH is pleased Access will be collaborating with us on the MaaS offering,” said MEDITECH Senior Vice President, Steve Koretz. “The simplified contracting will allow organizations to quickly procure a cost-effective, modern EHR inclusive of third-party vendor features. The partnership will help healthcare organizations streamline the patient registration process and allow care providers to focus on what matters most — their patients."
