President of Embraer Aircraft Holding Inc. Honored at Vaughn College Gala
FLUSHING, N.Y. (PRWEB) December 12, 2017 -- Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology honored Gary J. Spulak the president of Embraer Aircraft Holding Incorporated for his role as an influential leader in the aviation and aerospace industries, and his dedicated support of Vaughn College at the fourth annual event on Thursday, November 9.
NBC 4 reporter and anchor Stefan Holt served as master of ceremonies for an evening that also highlighted outstanding academic and professional achievements of Vaughn students.
The $289,000 raised in proceeds from the Gala will be used to fund scholarships and institutional priorities. Embraer was a Gala platinum sponsor.
“Gary and Embraer have been so generous in their support of Vaughn College and have a strong commitment to aviation education, internships and career opportunity,” said Vaughn College President Dr. Sharon B. DeVivo. “We are deeply appreciative of their generous sponsorship and equipment donations which will directly benefit students in our aviation maintenance programs.”
Vaughn College serves many first-generation Americans and first-generation college students and seeks to provide an engaging educational experience for every student. Ninety-seven percent of Vaughn graduates are employed, 82 percent of those in a related field, or continuing their education within one year of graduation.
