Mercy Health Foundation – Cincinnati sees nearly 100% Increase in Participation and Exceeds Campaign Expectations Using StratusLIVE Workplace Giving Platform
CINCINATTI and VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (PRWEB) December 13, 2017 -- Mercy Health Foundation, the fundraising affiliate of Mercy Health the largest health system in Ohio, launched the StratusLIVE Workplace Giving Platform in September 2017. While using the StratusLIVE Platform to manage its 2017 employee fundraising campaign for Cincinnati-based employees, Mercy Health Foundation - Cincinnati experienced a nearly 100% increase in employee participation, well exceeding its fundraising expectations, and bring deeper awareness of its cause to employees.
Early 2017, Mercy Health Foundation was exploring software system options that could support its multi-regional health system with over 34,000 employees. In September, it officially launched StratusLIVE, piloting in their two largest regions -Cincinnati and Toledo. In their inaugural campaign on the StratusLIVE Workplace Giving Platform, Mercy Health Foundation - Cincinnati experienced a significant rise in total contributions and participation. The Toledo campaign is currently underway.
Becky Sittason, System Director of Donor Engagement at Mercy Health Foundation, noted several key factors that helped the foundation exceed last years giving by $260,000 and nearly double its participation rate for Cincinnati’s 2017 Mercy Strong Campaign. One was increased awareness and more effective communication. The StratusLIVE Platform helped campaign coordinators reach more people by engaging all employees across multiple departments with ease. The Workplace Giving Platform provides a “Give Now Wizard” to quickly and seamlessly guide donors through the giving process, flexibility to personalize each region’s giving page to its unique theme, and a shopping cart like experience, which allowed Mercy Health Foundation to immediately acknowledge its donors, thus setting a good tone for their campaign next year. Sittason states “Given the successes we have experienced this year, we are going to go system-wide in 2018 to reach all 34,000 employees in each of our eight regions.”
When Mercy Health Foundation was looking for ways to improve fundraising outcomes and increase efficiencies, it was also important to find a solution that was simple to use. Sittason noted that “Donors made positive comments about the ease of using the StratusLIVE giving site, and I believe this added to the overall success of the campaign.”
“One of the greatest rewards in the work we do at StratusLIVE is the fulfillment we feel when clients like Mercy Health Foundation achieve such positive outcomes,” says Jim Funari, StratusLIVE CEO. “Knowing our technology plays a role in helping Mercy Health serve more patients and improve the health of the communities it serves makes us very pleased to be a partner in Mercy Health’s mission.”
