CPAmerica International Announces 2018 Board of Directors
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (PRWEB) December 12, 2017 -- CPAmerica International, an accounting association of independent certified public accounting firms, is proud to announce its 2018 board of directors. The new board will have its first meeting of the year at CPAmerica’s office on Jan. 18 to discuss 2018 initiatives and other long-term goals.
Brian Malthouse, president and shareholder of VonLehman CPA & Advisory Firm, located in Ft. Wright, Ky., is the new chair of the board. He succeeds 2017 chair J. Brad Steward, shareholder of Pulakos CPAs, PC, located in Albuquerque, N.M.
“I am honored to be serving as chair of CPAmerica International’s Board of Directors in 2018,” said Brian Malthouse, chairman of the board. “Our firm and our clients have very much benefitted from our association with CPAmerica over the past 30 years. The opportunity to share experiences, best practices and ideas has improved all of our firms, and I am thrilled to support our members with new and exciting initiatives to bring even more value to the association.”
Sharon Thompson, managing shareholder and leading partner of Hughes, Snell & Co., P.A., located in Ft. Myers, Fla., has been elected to the vice chair/chair-elect position.
“Last year proved to be a great year and I'm looking forward to what this board will bring to the membership in 2018,” said Alan Deichler, president of CPAmerica. “As a member-driven association, the board represents the membership within CPAmerica.”
Among the eight elected board members, returning board members include, Don Cowan of Cowan, Gunteski & Co., P.A.; Ernie Gelpi of Kushner LaGraize, L.L.C.; Brian Malthouse of VonLehman & Company, Inc.; J. Brad Steward of Pulakos CPAs, PC; and Sharon Thompson of Hughes, Snell & Co., P.A.
The three newly-elected board members include James Barrett of Meyers Brothers Kalicka, P.C.; Gregory Hammonds of Whaley Hammonds Tomasello Accountants & Advisors; and Frank Monaco of 415 Group.
