Cayuse Launches Next Version of Industry-leading Software for Preparing and Submitting Federal Research Funding Applications
PORTLAND, Ore. (PRWEB) December 12, 2017 -- Cayuse, a leader in research administration software for universities, hospitals and research institutes, today announced the release of the latest version of Cayuse 424, the leading software for preparing and submitting U.S. federal grant applications.
With the 8.0 release, Cayuse 424 adds essential capabilities for researchers and institutions seeking U.S. federal funding. The most significant changes include complete support for the new Public Health Service (PHS) Human Subjects and Clinical Trials Information (HSCTI) form and its child Human Subject Study Record form. Cayuse adds this support for both single and multi-project applications.
Cayuse 424 also includes support for the latest versions of federal-wide Research and Related forms. Applicants are required to use these revised forms, as well as the new Human Subjects forms for applications due on or after January 25, 2018.
The new HSCTI and Study Record forms support the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) initiative to enhance the stewardship of clinical trials and also expand the information required for studies that meet the NIH definition of a clinical trial. They are used to collect human subjects and clinical trials data at the study level and consolidate human subjects, inclusion enrollment, and clinical trial information that was previously collected in multiple forms. They provide the level of detail needed for agency staff and peer review and also align with ClinicalTrials.gov which positions the NIH for data exchange with ClinicalTrials.gov.
Beyond the federal form updates, the release also includes new and improved validations that give users additional real-time, comprehensive guidance that Cayuse 424 is known for. The release also includes an option for easily uploading Study Record attachments as well as duplicating and sharing those records with other users, including customers from other institutions. These features, which are unique to Cayuse 424, reduce repetitive and burdensome tasks and simplify the process of creating and submitting error-free proposals.
“The timely release of version 8.0 demonstrates our ongoing commitment to easing the burden of preparing and submitting proposals to the Federal Government,” said Matt McLellan, Cayuse CEO. “Our goal is to continually give more time back to researchers and administrators so they can focus on their science.”
Cayuse 424 is the de facto industry standard for fast, accurate preparation and submission of federal grant proposals. It substantially reduces the time that investigators and research administrators invest in applying for federal funding, thus helping institutions secure the greatest possible support for scientific research. More than 30 percent of federal funding applications are submitted through Cayuse 424, and institutions using Cayuse 424 have a first-time submission success rate of 99.99 percent. Cayuse 424 offers broader opportunity coverage and a higher submission success rate than any other system, and users have submitted more than 28,000 federal research proposals in 2017 to date.
