Freedom Alliance Provides Christmas Cheer to Military Families During the Holidays
DULLES, Va. (PRWEB) December 12, 2017 -- Freedom Alliance, a nonprofit organization supporting our nation’s injured service members, has provided Christmas memories to more than 3,300 children and parents – a total of 741 military families – who have served and sacrificed for our country. Through donor sponsorships, Freedom Alliance fulfills holiday wish lists, wraps gifts, and sends letters of appreciation and encouragement to those who have served and sacrificed for our nation and are struggling during the holidays.
Freedom Alliance established the Presents for Patriots initiative in 2007 – one of numerous projects the organization conducts for the benefit of wounded troops and military families. Rehabilitation is a long and exhausting process, not only for the wounded but for primary caregivers and other family members. Apart from the physical toll it takes, financial and emotional stress also make Christmas challenging for military families and Freedom Alliance helps by assisting them in a practical way.
“We are honored that for 10 years, Freedom Alliance has been able to bring Christmas to so many military families, some of the most deserving people during the holiday season,” said Freedom Alliance President Tom Kilgannon. “This serves to recognize their service and the sacrifices made year-round. Freedom Alliance ensures that children of injured heroes around the country wake up to presents under the tree on Christmas morning.”
This year, Freedom Alliance is supporting 116 families and 356 children through Presents for Patriots. Learn more about the program at https://freedomalliance.org/presents-for-patriots/.
