Santos Associates Accountants Spreading Hope During the Holiday Season
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (PRWEB) December 13, 2017 -- For over 20 years, Ed and Pat Santos, of Santos Associates Accountants, have been in charge of their church’s Outreach Ministry program. Through the program, over 40 volunteers, including Santos Associates Accountants, work together case-by-case trying to fulfill the needs year round for the community.
“This is a word-of-mouth program and participants must apply, request forms of economic assistance and be approved in order to receive help,” said Ed Santos. “Father Jamie, Archdiocese of Miami, allows for an outreach collection once a year to give financial help to the many requests for electric, water, medicine and rent to be paid. They also have a fully stocked food pantry year round.”
The annual Christmas toy drive brings joy to so many children and families. Many volunteers, including Santos Associates, help out. Hoping that no child is left without, they partner with other toy drives in the area. Thousands of gifts and gift cards are donated by the generous community and distributed to the less fortunate children of South Florida advocating love and joy during the Christmas season. Six parishes and communities benefit from the toy drive. “It’s the least we can do to help and a way to give back,” noted Pat.
This effort benefits families in financial need that are struggling and offers hope to them. Every year, Thanksgiving dinner baskets are requested, collected and distributed that include a 15-pound turkey, all the trimmings and Publix gift cards. “It makes me happy to help and to show them we care,” concluded Ed.
