Cinnamon Collection Spice Up Oxford With Brand New Restaurant

The Cinnamon Collection has been making big strides in the past few years. Having redefined how Indian cuisine is regarded in the UK and earning huge praise from some of the most gruelling food critics.

They are truly carving a path of their own. The collection of restaurants is expanding in to new places at a rapid rate.

Known for its incredible Indian cuisine, the chain is lead by renowned chef, Vivek Singh. Through his early life, Vivek was exposed to traditional Indian dishes and Western culture. This has allowed him to develop his own style of cooking which has transformed in to a sensational marriage of two different lifestyles. Vivek believes that food isn't timeless. This prompts him to continuously look for new inspiration to ceaselessly evolve the food served at Cinnamon Collection restaurants.

This is clearly not your average Indian restaurant. With The Cinnamon Club, Cinnamon Kitchen, Cinnamon Soho and Cinnamon Bazaar already lighting up the world of Indian food in London, a new beacon has just opened in Oxford.
The interior design has been wonderfully worked by Design LSM, incorporating the same ideology that Vivek Singh has tried to reproduce in all of his restaurants. Combining contemporary western culture with traditional Indian style, Cinnamon Kitchen is a very open, yet warm space. Smart Hospitality Supplies' menu boards continue the restaurants branding and creates a vibrant tabletop display. The two pair up to create an incredible sensual journey for customers as soon as they walk in and are seated at their table. The rest is up to Cinnamon Kitchen's master chefs.

Since opening in the Westgate Shopping Centre in October, Cinnamon Kitchen has won over locals and press. Receiving incredible reviews and much hype throughout the city. The menu includes adventurous items, although unfamiliar, they feel like they should be a staple of Indian cuisine.

Such dishes include pan seared hake with yellow lentils, samphire & fenugreek kachumber salad; Bombay street food – vada pao, tapioca cake and chilli paneer; and aubergine with sesame, tamarind and peanut crumble. Venturesome customers can enjoy the taster menu to give them flavours of something a bit different in this seven course meal along with perfectly paired wines.

With The Cinnamon Collection expanding outside of London and plans in the works for a new Battersea division in 2018. Vivek Singh's food is being enjoyed by more people than ever before. Cinnamon Collection are changing the landscape of Indian food in the UK. Maybe will all be able to dine in a branch of the Cinnamon Collection near us in the very near future.
