New Premium PVC ‘Canvas Series’ Tongue and Groove Finish From Versatex Building Products, LLC Brings Another Warm Woodtone to Porch and Veranda Ceilings
PITTSBURGH (PRWEB) December 15, 2017 -- Introduced in early 2017, the Canvas Series was developed specifically for projects that call for the classic look of hardwood overhead, without the mess of onsite finishing or the cost of old-school installation. Black cherry, walnut and tropical macore, the original Canvas tones, quickly met enthusiastic response from both installers and distributors, says Versatex vice president of sales Rick Kapres.
“We did three years of homework before we released the first Canvas Series products, to make sure we got the aesthetic side as well as the technical qualities just right. The residential construction world has embraced them, and now experience in the field has shown that we were on the right track.”
Like the original Canvas Series, the Amber shade conforms to the standard Versatex WP4 T&G profile, with tactile woodgrain laminate permanently bonded to moisture-resistant, easy-to-install premium cellular PVC. Versatex manufactures the nominal 1x6 WP4 profile (actual thickness a full ¾") in 18' lengths that can span up to 24" on center. The matching 4" crown moulding comes in 16' lengths. The system provides a color-matched touchup kit for use on butt joints or fastener marks.
“Luxurious appearance, long life, no maintenance — there’s nothing like it,” says Mr. Kapres. “Our proven cellular PVC technology means the Canvas Series can give the builder a straight, true, knot-free material, in uniform lengths, every time.”
The Canvas Series is ideal for any exterior or interior application where moisture resistance is an issue. With more Canvas Series shades in development, he adds, feedback from more than 120 builders, dealers and distributors is guiding Versatex’s selection of wood tones.
Canvas Series PVC is available through Versatex Building Products distributors nationwide. Contractors, distributors and lumberyard operators can learn more from regional Versatex Building Products representatives.
