Most, if not all, food allergies are incurable and allergic reactions to such foods often increase in intensity with each encounter. For individuals with peanut and tree nut allergies, they suffer an anaphylactic episode if they consume nuts, with symptoms that range from hives and an upset stomach to facial swelling and trouble breathing.
An inventor from Levittown, N.Y., has invented PEANUT/TREE NUT FOOD TESTING KIT, a portable food testing kit for people with food allergies, specifically peanuts or tree nuts. "My 5-year-old daughter is highly allergic to peanuts and tree nuts and going out to dinner is very stressful," said the inventor. "Every time we go to dinner I wish there was a way to test her food for traces of nuts to provide us with peace of mind that her meal is safe for her to eat."
PEANUT/TREE NUT FOOD TESTING KIT prevents people from consuming food that contains trace amounts of peanut or tree nut proteins that could trigger a life-threatening anaphylactic episode. Because of that, it makes eating in restaurants a much less stressful experience.
This invention provides peace of mind to individuals with nut allergies. They now have a way of knowing for certain that their food is safe, as well as provides parents of children with nut allergies with an easy way to ensure their child is consuming nut-free food. It is easy to use and could help to potentially save lives.
