Spartan Armor Systems’ Rapid Growth: Cyber Monday Sales Exceed $100,000
TUCSON, Ariz. (PRWEB) December 14, 2017 -- Spartan Armor Systems has grown rapidly with ever-increasing demand for its body armor products protected with the company’s proprietary Encapsaloc coating system. Spartan Armor Systems’ mission is to provide first responders with the affordable, reliable body armor protection they deserve. Police and sheriffs’ departments, SWAT teams, fire departments, EMTs and all first responders have responded enthusiastically to the quality and efficacy of Spartan’s Ecapsaloc coating quality and have driven sales to more than seven figures in the past two years. Almost 2,000 Spartan Armor Systems’ product packages are sold each month. Cyber Monday sales alone totaled over $100,000.
Armor vests have saved the lives of more than 3,000 law enforcement officers over the past three decades. The chance of dying from a gunshot wound to the torso is 3.4 times higher for officers who do not wear armor vests. Spartan Armor Systems’ Managing Member Todd Meeks commented, “There is no better feeling when we get a call or email that our armor has saved a life. This makes all the hard work worthwhile.”
Spartan Armor Systems currently employs 12 full-time employees but launched in 2012 as the Target Man from a home-garage setting with owner and two part-time employees making steel shooting targets and training aids. The need for affordable armor protection caused the company to explore the use of steel for body armor and Spartan Armor Systems was created. The subsequent workspace was 2,500 square feet; however strong and growing product demand for the company’s body armor and tactical gear caused a need for even more workspace.
Spartan purchased a new headquarters building summer 2017 and moved into a 10,000 square foot warehouse with 3,000 square feet of office space in Tucson’s Grant Road Industrial Park. Marketing and sales are online; manufacturing and order fulfillment are handled at the headquarters building. A formal Grand Opening of Spartan Armor Systems new headquarters is scheduled for February 23. Details will follow over the next few weeks.
Spartan Armor Systems’ signature product is the AR500 Omega™, AR550 and AR650 ballistic steel body armor with Spartan Armor’s Encapsaloc fragmentation coating. Encapsaloc provides rifle rated protection at a fraction of the cost of traditional ceramic armor. The downfall of steel has always been the potential of dangerous projectile fragmentation, and the proprietary Encapsaloc product has been proven to greatly reduce or eliminate this threat. Meeks explains, “Our coating is our ‘secret sauce.”
