Rodney Ricks’s New Book “Ward Street: D off War Street” Is a Moving Story on His Personal Life Experiences in the Neighborhood He Has Grown up In
NEW YORK (PRWEB) December 19, 2017 -- Rodney Ricks, a forty-seven-year-old resident of Detroit, Michigan, who loves to cook, has completed his new book “Ward Street: D Off War Street”: an enjoyable book that talks about the good and the bad experiences he has had on Ward Street, a place that used to be fun to live in until he noticed many haters and dangers while getting older on the block.
Author Ricks explains the harm illegal drug addiction can cause in a neighborhood: “Now living on the block on Ward Street, drugs were a factor. There were a bunch of gangs around being formed up in the hood and all around the block on Ward Street, which started a whole lot of people who lived there to move because of drugs and the looks of the hood, which just started going bad because of drugs. And drugs around our block were bad back in the day when gangs started coming around. Before drugs hit our block on Ward Street with the gangs and killings all around the hood, it was one of the nicest blocks to live on until everybody started moving away ’cuz of drugs, robberies, and killings all around the block and hood. Now that I’m older, things just ain’t the same no more. A whole lot of change made me wiser.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Rodney Ricks’s amazing personal story shows how much he loves Ward Street despite its imperfections from drug addicts and robbers to a bunch of drunkards and gangs.
