MD State Delegate Christian Miele Joins the Pinder Plotkin Legal Team
Parkville, Maryland (PRWEB) December 15, 2017 -- The Pinder Plotkin Legal Team is pleased to announce the hiring of Delegate Christian J. Miele as an associate attorney. Miele joins the firm today, just one day after being sworn in as a member of the Maryland Bar by the Court of Appeals, the state's highest court.
"I am thrilled to begin my legal career as a member of the Pinder Plotkin Legal team," said Miele. "The firm has a terrific reputation both inside and outside the courtroom. Whether it's sponsoring the Parkville Towne Center Fair or supporting Parkville's Little League teams, Pinder Plotkin is always giving back to the community it serves."
Elected to the Maryland House of Delegates in 2014, Miele represents Legislative District 8, which is home to the Carney, Fullerton, Loch Raven Village, Nottingham, Overlea, Parkville, Perry Hall, Rosedale, and White Marsh communities in northeastern Baltimore County. He serves on the House Health and Government Operations Committee and the Maryland General Assembly's Joint Committee on Behavioral Health and Opioid Use Disorders. He also serves as chairman of the Baltimore County House Delegation's Public Safety Committee.
Miele holds B.S. and M.A. degrees from Towson University and a J.D. from the Emory University School of Law. At Emory, he was elected president of the Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies and served as editor-in-chief of the Emory Corporate Governance and Accountability Review, an academic journal he co-founded. Prior to going to law school, Miele worked as an administrator at Towson University in its Division of Student Affairs.
He is an active member of several civic and fraternal organizations, including the Lions Club; Highland Lodge No. 184, A.F. & A.M.; Sigma Pi Fraternity, International; the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity; and the Order Sons of Italy in America. He resides in Perry Hall with his wife, Jessica, and newborn son, Theodore.
“Christian will be an asset to our clients and we are excited to add his diverse knowledge and experience to our team,” said Jason A. Plotkin. “He brings a community service mentality that reinforces our core values of being a community-focused law firm.”
