Alpha Modus appoints Jeff Gates to drive new Energy Storage Consulting Service, Joins Energy Storage Association
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PRWEB) December 19, 2017 -- Alpha Modus Corp, the predictive data analytics company, has appointed Jeff Gates as vice president, global energy services. Gates, a recognized leader in the energy industry, will be responsible for developing the energy storage consulting services network and the strengthening of Alpha Modus’ position within the energy storage industry.
Gates brings fifteen years of energy storage expertise to Alpha Modus, including the development of a $44 million dollar, 36 megawatt storage system, at Duke Energy’s Notrees wind farm in Texas.
In his new role at Alpha Modus, Gates brings considerable experience gained with Alevo as vice president of sales, Duke Energy as an energy storage specialist and as former chair of the Energy Storage Association (ESA) board of directors. “We are excited to have Jeff on board,” said William Alessi, CEO of Alpha Modus. “We see energy storage as a growing field in need of predictive analytics and Jeff’s knowledge of the industry will accelerate our entry. Also, we are pleased to join the Energy Storage Association with Jeff maintaining his role as a director.”
Gates has been working with the Energy Storage Association since becoming a Director in 2013. Gates spearheaded Duke Energy’s Notrees energy storage installation, which at the time was the largest installation in the world, giving him early visibility in an emerging industry, now he brings his experience to Alpha Modus. “We are excited to have Alpha Modus join the ESA”, said Kelly Speakes-Backman, CEO of the Energy Storage Association. “As Alpha Modus brings its innovation to the energy storage industry, we look forward to their involvement, helping to make energy storage a critical hub of the electricity grid.”
