“The New Holy Warriors”: the story of Marc Bravo and his mission to save his parents from the notorious evil Sheikh. “The New Holy Warriors” is the creation of published author, Alice Sandoval. Born in Glendale, California, she grew up in adjacent Burbank. As a student at John Burroughs High, her tenth-grade teacher gave her an “A+” on an essay and told her: “I think you have writing talent.” Alice then decided to major in English at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).

Sandoval was able to use her language skills as a teacher at Roosevelt High in a predominately Chicano barrio in East Los Angeles. As a Mexican-American, she was active in the women’s and civil rights movements. She later hosted a popular daily TV talk show at KTTV Channel 11 in Hollywood, California for fourteen years. She had several million daily viewers (Nielsen ratings). Sandoval was also an investigative reporter who wrote and produced documentaries. A broadcaster by day, she taught journalism and public relations/marketing courses in the evenings at local universities and colleges. Later she relocated to Washington, D.C. to become the director of communications for the National Education Association (NEA). Next, she worked as a speechwriter for a US cabinet secretary. A recipient of the Yale University Poytner Fellowship in Modern Journalism, she sees radical Islam as a threat to Christianity and Western culture. This concern inspired her to pen “The New Holy Warriors”. Her favorite pastime is reading.

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Alice Sandoval’s new book is one man’s mission to save his parents from Islamic terrorists who behead Christian captives.

The Arabic word “Mujahedeen” means holy warriors who engage in jihad. Two days after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the New York City Trade Center, a handsome twenty-six-year-old attorney, three thousand miles away in Beverly Hills, California, arrived at work when his phone rang. An old family friend, Dr. Sam Greenberg, called Marc to tell him that his beloved parents had mysteriously vanished In Mexico City. Sam fears the Bravos were kidnapped by the Mexican Mafia for ransom monies. Greenberg is Director of Doctors Without Borders.

Marc immediately contacts his brother and his best friend to join him in Mexico City. All three were trained by the California National Guard in counterintelligence and guerrilla warfare tactics, so they are prepared for anything. Soon, they discover the kidnapper is the notorious Sheikh, a key Osama Bin Laden Al-Qaeda operative sent to Mexico with a sleeper cell. The Sheikh often beheads captives, especially Christians and Jews. As Marc unravels the mystery, he learns about the true radical Islamic agenda and their secret plan to implement their Koranic End Days WW III battle.

This globe-trotting novel is as colorful as “The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” hit movie starring Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones). Alice Sandoval's tale, "The New Holy Warriors"-takes place against the mysterious Mexican rainforest jungle, the Mayan Indian people and their ancient temple ruins, Saudi Arabia, Vatican City, France, Guatemala, Jordan, and the USA.
