dormakaba, one of the top three companies in the global market for access and security solutions, announced its Vice President of Sales Kerry Hirschy will retire on December 31, 2017. Hirschy is completing a stellar 31 year career in the electronic door lock industry. His leadership as a hotel lock sales executive resulted in dormakaba’s strong market share position in N. America. He will be greatly missed.” Kerry’s career in the electronic lock industry is unprecedented having led sales teams as a senior manager for three decades through two corporate acquisitions.

Hirschy began his career in the hotel industry as vice president of sales with Safemark Systems in 1986. He left Safemark in 1988 and quickly assumed the VP sales role with Computerized Security Systems. In 2006 the former Kaba acquired Computerized Security Systems. Hirschy successfully orchestrated the merger of the competing Saflok and Ilco sales teams. During Hirschy’s watch Kaba realized exponential growth and market leadership. He has been a valuable member of the dormakaba management team in North America and has developed a strong sales organization that will help his successor continue dormakaba’s success.
