Attorney Brian W. Freeman Touts the Merits of Law Office Study
Corona, CA (PRWEB) December 20, 2017 -- In lieu of traditional law school study, Workers’ Compensation Lawyer, Inc. is now offering its employees a law office study program. “Law office study is much different than the typical law school classroom because it is a one-on-one relationship between the student and the attorney,” said Brian W. Freeman, founder of Workers’ Compensation Lawyer, Inc. “Additionally, the attorney may decide not to use the Socratic method, which is the style of teaching typically used in law schools.”
Furthermore, law office study is free to the student; conversely, a typical ABA-accredited law school can cost approximately $50,000 per year for the student. The attorney at the firm creates the course curriculum for the student to read the law in accordance with State Bar guidelines. “The attorney will then test the student’s understanding of the law by way of written examination that is submitted to the State Bar,” noted Freeman.
Law office study teaches all of the same topics that students in law school are taught, such as torts, contracts, criminal law, constitutional law, and more. Most importantly, it prepares the student to take and pass the State Bar exam so they can become a practicing lawyer.
“However, not every state has the option to do a law office study,” concluded Freeman. “Fortunately, we in California do have the option, and I wanted to provide this exciting job benefit to the firm’s outstanding staff.”
