Liquid Motors Inc, a provider of comprehensive inventory management and marketing solutions for automotive industry, announces the addition of Keith Whetter as Vice President of Sales. In this capacity, Mr. Whetter will work with the Liquid Motors executive team to expand Liquid Motors customer base in the wholesale arena.
"Keith brings a wealth of experience in the automotive industry particularly on the wholesale side of the business," said Michael Daseke, Liquid Motors' President and CEO. "His understanding of the business from all sides, remarketer to auto auction to dealership, as well as his existing relationships in the industry, makes him a great addition to the Liquid Motors management team," added Daseke.
Whetter is a third generation 35-year automotive veteran with diverse marketing, lease and sales experience. Whetter was raised in Farmington Hills, MI where his father and grandfather retired from Ford Motor Company after 40 and 45 years of service respectively. Most recently, Whetter served as Vice President of Sales with Auction Broadcasting Company. In that role, Whetter focused on growing OEM, Institutional and Dealer sales at abc auctions. Whetter also assisted in the rollout and training of new auction sales teams during abc's expansion to 8 locations.
“The landscape of automotive remarketing is changing rapidly. The industry continues to move on-line vs. in-lane as the next generation auto executives embrace technology designed to improve efficiency and reduce costs." Liquid Motors is a leader in developing the technology and software that will forever change automotive remarketing. I was fortunate for the opportunity to serve as Lexus and Lexus Dealers revolutionized the automotive retail experience. I feel the same excitement for the opportunity to serve as Liquid Motors revolutionizes automotive remarketing,” said Whetter.
Keith graduated from Northwood University in 1983 and began his career with Oldsmobile Division of General Motors. Keith held positions in both sales and service in St. Louis, Houston, and Phoenix and then transferred to Lansing, MI as the Divisions Special Events Coordinator, leveraging the Divisions involvement in Motor Sports, Golf, NCAA, Disney, and Movies. In 1990, Keith was recruited as an original member of the Lexus Division Launch Team in Chicago focused on the Dealer rollout in the Midwest. During the launch, Keith held positions of Field Sales, Merchandising Manager, Distribution Manager, Market Representation Manager and Business Manager. After the initial rollout, Keith transferred to Torrance, CA as Lexus Division's Business Manager, overseeing the re-design of the Lexus Dealer Financial Statement to accommodate the future growth of Lexus. After the completion of the redesign, Keith was assigned as Marketing, Finance, and Lease Manager tasked with designing the expanding Lexus retail/lease programs, dealer marketing, and dealer promotions. Keith left the auto business in 1996 to join Fleetwood Enterprises, relocating to Birmingham, AL. Keith joined the Auction Broadcasting Company (abc) as Vice President - Sales in August, 2009.
As Vice President of Sales at Liquid Motors, Keith will focus on expanding the sales efforts for Liquid Motors’ wholesale merchandising solutions to remarketers and other wholesale industry companies.
