NEW YORK (PRWEB) December 22, 2017 -- KSV, a marketing and advertising agency with considerable expertise in sustainable energy marketing, recently won recertification as a B Corporation, meaning the company voluntarily meets a higher standard of public transparency, legal accountability and verified performance.
Certified B – the B stands for “Benefit” – Corporations use the power of business to solve social, environmental and economic problems. Benchmarking and measuring the company’s social impact lets consumers, clients and employees know that a company is serious about doing good and doing well.
“The B Corp movement is all about using business as a force for good. At KSV, we view energy in the same way. Being a B Corporation means we can continue to help our utility and energy efficiency clients inspire their customers to think about energy consumption critically, which is important in today’s energy-challenged world,” says Mary Stewart, KSV’s managing director.
“Increasingly, people want more transparency about where their energy comes from, how it gets to them, and its impact on the environment.
“In many ways, KSV’s B Corporation recertification parallels our work with clients, who are also focused on the social, environmental and economic impacts of their products and services in the world,” adds Stewart.
KSV scored 87 (out of a possible 100) on its B Corporation recertification evaluation. The company improved six percent over its original certification score of 82, in 2015.
Some nationally-recognized B Corporations include Patagonia, Etsy, Eileen Fisher, and Warby Parker. And in Vermont, Ben & Jerry’s, Green Mountain Power, Seventh Generation, and King Arthur Flour all have achieved B Corporation status.
