Transtector Systems Celebrates 50 Years of Excellence
HAYDEN, Idaho (PRWEB) December 21, 2017 -- Firmly rooted in technology innovation and customer service, Transtector Systems celebrates its 50th anniversary in business this year.
Since its inception in 1967, Transtector has steadily grown into an international manufacturer of superior surge protection devices for critical electronic equipment, providing low voltage power systems and data networks with immunity from failure due to power fluctuations and over voltage.
Transtector founder, Richard Odenberg, started the company to develop and manufacture silicon avalanche suppression diodes to protect new transistor-based equipment from transients. Building upon the company’s success with advanced silicon suppression technologies, the company grew into a global presence providing custom and off-the-shelf solutions.
In 2017, Infinite Electronics, a supplier of engineering grade wired and wireless connectivity products, acquired Transtector, adding the company’s strong engineering capabilities, world-class manufacturing operations and diversified set of products to the Infinite family of brands. “Transtector, a highly successful, global brand, offers great value for our worldwide customers,” said Terry Jarnigan, president and chief executive officer for Infinite Electronics. “We are thrilled to be celebrating Transtector’s 50 years of excellence, and we look forward to the company continuing to provide the broadest range of high-performance surge protection products supporting industrial, military, transportation, medical and telecommunications applications.”
“Our success and longevity is due in large part to the strength of our employees,” said Chad Minden, director of operations and eighteen-year employee at Transtector. “We are extremely fortunate that nearly a third of our employees have been with us for fifteen years or more. Whether developing, building, selling, providing expert technical support or responsive customer service for our industry-leading surge technologies and products, their dedication continues to drive our business forward.”
“The surge suppressors we build really matter and make a difference for our customers,” said Nancy Kjos, manufacturing and facilities manager and thirty-five year veteran at Transtector. “Whether it is surge protection keeping a rail crossing secure or protecting critical equipment being used in a military deployment, we manufacture our products knowing they are absolutely critical.”
“We’ve worked hard to earn the respect and trust of our customers who rely on our expertise to keep their systems online,” said Rick Ribbeck, key account manager, and twenty-nine year employee with Transtector. “We stay at the forefront of technology, working with our customers throughout their product development process to ensure our solutions protect and increase the reliability of their critical AC, DC and Data Line equipment from lightning and EMP events."
