BTH Quitman Hickory LLC looks forward to expanding its existing torrefaction plant.

“We are confident in the future of the torrefied biomass market and believe it is it reaching a positive inflection point in demand which will result in significant future growth,” said Neal Smaler, President of BTH Quitman Hickory. “In order for us to accommodate that demand we need to expand production and invest additional capital. Prior to such investment it is necessary to reorganize our complicated debt structure and as a result we filed a Chapter 11 reorganization proceeding on December 10, 2017.”
