Mary was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She married and raised her family in Homestead & Key Largo, Florida. In 2004, their family moved to a small farm in Howey In The Hills. When asked what type of animals they should get, her son, Rocky, said, “Let’s get a llama.” When she met TJ Llama, she knew she would train him to be a therapy llama. As a breast cancer survivor, she participates in Florida Hospital Waterman’s Pinking Ceremony every year.
