Mikey was always the new kid at school. His dad worked for several three letter government agencies doing "secret computer stuff", so they moved around a lot. He has lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, Michigan, and New Jersey. By High School, his family had settled in Euless, Texas. The local preacher's kid befriended him. In June of 1978, Mikey accepted Christ. In High School, he joined the swim team for fun and earned his letterman's jacket, along with a six pack. He competed, but lost against some guys who qualified for the 1980 Olympic Swim Team. Unfortunately, that was the year President Carter prevented the USA from attending, which started his passion for politics. Mikey went to Baylor University as a Pre-Med student, but dropped out as a Senior due to a lack of motivation. He had four jobs, slept in two to three hours shifts every day, and finally landed a job with Federal Express as a courier. He drove for them for ten happy years. While in Michigan, Mikey hit a phenomenally low point in his life and dared God to prove his existence, which God did. After retiring from Federal Express and moving south to College Station, Texas, he was accepted into A&M where he earned a Biomedical Engineering Degree. He met the love of his life at an Indian Pow-wow, the only red-head he had ever seen at one.

My history before The List was, well—how can I say this? — A train wreck! My friends and I had wasted weeks, months, and in some cases, years with the wrong person.
