Trident University International Introduces Associate’s Degree Program
CYPRESS, Calif. (PRWEB) December 27, 2017 -- Starting in the January 2nd, 2018 Fastrac session, Trident University International (Trident) is set to offer an Associate of Science in Professional Studies. This is the first time the University is offering a degree at this level.
Students entering this professional studies program will be required to have already earned a professional certificate or diploma, completed academic courses, or military or corporate experience equivalent to at least 15 semester hours of transferrable college credit.
Transfer credits can come from any regionally or nationally accredited college or university, The American Council of Education (ACE), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), The DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST/DANTES), The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL), Excelsior, and other non-traditional forms of learning approved by the University College Dean.
“The Associate of Science in Professional Studies is an academic bridge from the military and corporate world for adult students who desire a challenging and rewarding educational experience,” stated Dr. Lisa Mohanty, Dean, University College.
The 100% online AS in Professional Studies degree program is designed for adult students seeking entry level management positions in the business and non-profit sectors. Students will have the opportunity to master the use of technological tools in the business setting, apply previous professional experiences to course work, apply ethical decision making through relevant case studies, and understand and interpret quantitative data.
In addition to the required General Education and Capstone courses, students will be expected to meet the 60 credit threshold through free electives. Course subject matter available to students in this program include quantitative skills, written and oral communication, and social and behavioral sciences.
