MarkNet Alliance Hits 10 Year Mark Growing Auction Businesses

Founded by auctioneers Kurt Aumann, J.J. Dower and Chris Pracht, MarkNet Alliance began with just a handful of member companies in May 2007. The network of auction companies now has nearly 60 auction companies, including in the United States and South Africa.

MarkNet Alliance started with 10 auction companies coming together in 2007, and there was a simple vision at that time that they were stronger together than apart. Those companies were combining for about 80 auctions per month. There were no other stats in 2007, just the thought that the companies would be stronger together. In 2017 there are almost 60 auction companies conducting 500 auctions per month with an online bidder list of 450,000 users and gross sales of $1 billion per year.
