Imedex and American College of Gastroenterology Announce Collaboration for the 2017 Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 20, 2017 -- Imedex, a leader in Gastroenterology education, announced today an official collaboration and endorsement with the American College of Gastroenterology in support of the 2017 Advances in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (AIBD). Held on November 9-11, 2017 in Orlando, Florida, AIBD is the premier annual event that meets the growing educational needs of practicing gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals who manage patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). The American College of Gastroenterology is partnering with Imedex to promote AIBD among its more than 14,000 members and will publish scientific abstracts from AIBD as a supplement to its clinical journal, The American Journal of Gastroenterology.
The landscape of IBD care and management is changing rapidly in terms of practice guidelines, novel therapies and innovative diagnostic and surgical techniques. AIBD will enable healthcare professionals to learn the most important, and clinically-relevant data and practices to stay at the forefront of clinical care.
“An official endorsement by a leading professional organization such as the American College of Gastroenterology is both an honor and an attestation to the quality and clinical value of AIBD’s faculty and scientific agenda,” says Dan Lowrie, CEO of Imedex.
“The College recognizes the importance of the clinical education planned for AIBD and is pleased to collaborate with Imedex to support a meeting that advances understanding of IBD – among the most challenging chronic GI diagnoses,” said Carol A. Burke, MD, FACG, ACG’s President.
