National Association of Professional Women Inducts Marion Behr, Owner of WWH Press LLC, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle

Ms. Behr’s professional title is Owner of WWH Press LLC. She is the Publisher, Compiler and Illustrator of "Surviving Cancer: Our Voices and Choices," which has been awarded three medals, including the IPPY Gold in Health and Wellness. This highly acclaimed book contains over 70 articles from top doctors, oncologists, healthcare providers, survivors and other cancer-related experts. Her children encouraged Marion to get a mammogram. A small cancer was found. The concept for a book was born. Twenty percent of the proceeds go to cancer-related organizations and hospitals.

Ms. Behr also co-authored, published and compiled two editions of "Women Working Home: The Homebased Business Guide and Directory." She conceived of and co-founded the National Alliance of Homebased Business Women and was the organization’s first president. Ms. Behr fought for rights of home workers in the US Labor Department and before Senators Ted Kennedy and Orrin Hatch. Also, with her husband, she co-invented and patented the first sustainable, acid-free graphic etching process, a green breakthrough for which she was awarded the Charles A. Lindbergh Grant in Arts and Humanities. She taught the process in US universities to Inuit artists at Holman in Canada, as well as in Mexico, New Zealand and Morocco.
