Dierks Farms Wins ‘Small Business of the Year’ Award
Ava, Ill. (PRWEB) May 04, 2017 -- Dierks Farms, a grass-fed beef operation in the rolling hills of southern Illinois, won the “Small Business of the Year” award recently at ICON, an international conference held in Phoenix targeted to small business owners looking to expand their companies. Pam and Larry Dierks of Dierks Farms took home the $10,000 grand prize after being named among three finalists.
According to ICON officials from Infusionsoft, the annual contest recognizes small businesses that successfully use the Infusionsoft platform to increase their productivity, profitability and other areas of their business.
Pam Dierks, Vice President at Dierks Farms, began using the marketing platform to grow their business beyond their local farmer’s markets. By executing demand generation tactics through Infusionsoft, the rural Illinois farm expanded their email contact list by 1,300%, began shipping their grass-fed beef all over the United States, and grew profitability by more 142%.
“We knew we needed to enhance our technology to grow our farm,” Pam Dierks said. “We have mouths to feed and a growing family. With Infusionsoft’s Accelerator program, we were able to use email marketing to its fullest potential and significantly grow our business.”
The Dierks have since rolled out more than 20 email campaigns that help guide their contacts through the customer buying cycle. Using the right messaging, Dierks Farms continues to expand their repeat customer base and new subscription orders.
While the U.S. has lost 4 million farms over the last 80 years, the Dierks believe their continued success in email marketing, new website, and willingness to help other farmers succeed means they’ll be able to pass down their family farm to the next generation.
