“Having worked with Fortune 500 companies, Startups and Venture Capitalists in a wide variety of industries for over 10 years, I see the value in getting to these Startups early-on especially when it comes to the pitch and demo. I am excited to be working with such promising Startups from all around the world, across multiple industries and cannot wait to see how they evolve throughout the HACKcelerator program,” said Griffit. Adi Abili, Managing Director of the HACKcelerator added, “we first meet these companies at our hackathons, and it is amazing to see what they can accomplish in just 24 hours time. From forming a team, brainstorming, creating wireframes, all the way to producing a working prototype in that amount of time takes extreme talent and dedication. I feel honored to work with such talent each year and bring global innovation to Silicon Valley on a local scale. This year, we have Startups specializing in a variety of areas from health, fintech, B2C, education, chatbots, and more, and I cannot wait to see how far they go.”
The HACKcelerator which began on-boarding its Startups from Afghanistan; Colombia; Japan; the United States; China and 29 other countries August 7th, 2017 will come to an end November 2nd, 2017 at AngelHack’s Annual Global Demo Day. The last week of the program, brings the top 1 percent of entrepreneurs together for in-person pitch training where each company will get one chance to pitch to over 150 investors and some of Silicon Valley's most elite and prolific figures in tech.
AngelHack’s HACKcelerator has accelerated 122 Startups since founding the program in 2013. 51 percent of which are still active companies raising funding, and 31 percent end up getting accepted to later stage accelerator programs such as Y-Combinator, Techstars, and 500 Startups. Previously, the HACKcelerator has worked with Startups in Palestine, Kenya, Tokyo, Palo Alto and more, some of which you can see in documentary Seed streaming on Amazon Prime. Since the start of the HACKcelerator program, AngelHack’s pre-accelerator has produced some major successes such as Appetas and SlickLogin, both acquired by Google. Other companies such as Wrapupp from Dubai, Osper from London, and Testlio from Estonia have gone on to raise major seed funding within months of Global Demo Day and are now successful, and thriving companies.
