National Association of Professional Women Inducts Kathy Rogers, Founder and President of Overhead Distractions, Into its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) March 15, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Kathy Rogers as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Kathy into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Ms. Rogers was raised to believe if one tried long enough and hard enough, one can accomplish anything. She learned to look at things from a different perspective. Could she make this work better and more efficiently? How many different uses can be found for one item? This way of thinking, gifted from her immigrant parents, instilled an inventive nature in Ms. Rogers. She’s had many ideas over the years, and watched sadly as other people eventually brought them to market.
Overhead Distractions is a business that Ms. Rogers intends to see become huge! She’s dreamt it, created it and is finally selling it. Created after she had to lie still for over half an hour for a medical procedure while being forced to stare at the ceiling, Ms. Rogers would have given anything to be able to concentrate on something other than what was happening, so she came up with the idea of 'find the difference' puzzles for ceilings. They had to be large enough to see, yet easy to install and position. After five years of researching and developing many puzzle posters, her product was finally ready.
The photos for most of the puzzles come from Krista Marie Photography, who is Ms. Roger’s daughter-in-law. Ms. Rogers does the computer editing, website management and financials while her husband helps with order fulfillment and shipping. Ms. Rogers found marketing most challenging and getting the word out was tough but she is determined to get her puzzles in medical of offices across the country.
