National Association of Professional Women Names Amber Lamprecht, Owner/Clinic Director, Literacy and Language Center, to its VIP Professional Woman of the Year Circle
Garden City, NY (PRWEB) March 22, 2017 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Amber Lamprecht as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Amber into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Involved in education for 17 years, Amber Lamprecht said she was drawn specifically to teaching reading skills because she feels that “reading opens up the entire world for students, helping them to connect to others and to enjoy life more.” She is the Owner and Clinic Director of the Literacy and Language Center, in San Francisco. In this role for more than a decade, she has worked tirelessly to support her community, working with local schools, nonprofits and medical professionals to help struggling learners reach stability.
“Our approach is research-based, multi-sensory, intensive and customized to each unique individual who comes to us, combining the latest research and practices to make learning fun and easy,” said Ms. Lamprecht. “In this work, we can essentially re-wire students’ brains so that they can make years of academic gains within only a few months, and maintain their skills over time.”
In addition to her work with students, which includes academic assessments, analysis and remediation, Ms. Lamprecht trains other reading professionals. In an effort to share her knowledge and expertise with even more people, she is currently working on a book that focuses on “how movement can be integrated into learning to engage all children and teens in the classroom while providing fun, laughter and structure to the experience.” Ms. Lamprecht's future goals are to continue her work with students, to continue writing, and to consult in schools on a national level, developing new curriculum through her work with The Core Collaborative, which is a professional learning network specializing in student-centered approaches to learning.
