KVCL Safety Acquired by AK Preparedness
CHICAGO (PRWEB) January 02, 2018 -- KVCL Safety, Inc., the Chicago market leader in fire and life safety training, has been acquired by AK Preparedness, a national emergency preparedness planning and training firm.
“Combining our operations with AK makes great sense at this point in our company’s evolution,” says Leo Cox, a KVCL founding principal. “We’ve partnered with AK for the past 10 years, so there’s already a high level of trust and compatibility. Joining forces will allow us to offer a wider array of services and accelerate our growth.”
KVCL’s three principals -- Cox, Tony Van Buskirk, and Tom Lynch -- will remain with the combined company, and AK will continue to employ the KVCL name in the Chicago market.

Terms of the asset purchase agreement were not disclosed.
Founded in 2001, KVCL delivers life safety training, fire drills, and other preparedness solutions to commercial and residential properties throughout the Chicago area.
