Bergaffe has created the world’s best line of outwear that is 100% windproof, 100% waterproof, boasting 49 different features and designed to be lightweight.
"Good outerwear should be made out of high-quality, environmentally-friendly materials and a variety of useful features. That's why we’ve developed a three-piece product set consisting of a ‘Primaloft’ insulation jacket and a high-quality and recyclable Sympatex hardshell jacket and trouser,” says Bergaffe co-founder David Dietrich. “It was particularly important to us to include these high quality materials, such as the top outdoor brands, in our multifunctional jackets and pants. Each of the jackets have been designed to easily transition from the streets to the slopes. The Bergaffe jackets include countless pockets, some hidden and padded, making them perfect for traveling and storing everything from sunglasses, electronics and passports.
The Bergaffe Outwear line has been produced to be lightweight and constructed with high quality functions and environmentally-friendly materials. The insulated Explorer Superior jacket utilizes Primaloft, which is similar in its thermal factors to downs but has significantly higher properties during rain and wetness. The wind –and weather jacket Ultimate Active Jacket, has a recyclable 3-layer laminate from Sympatex, which has a water column of over 20.000mm, is wind resistant yet 100% breathable.
“For nature lovers and myself, an industrial designer, the resource saving and environmentally friendly attributes are most important,” adds Lukas Bürger, co-founder of Bergaffe. “That’s why we’ve decided on the new recyclable material, Sympatex – developed in Germany.”
The outwear line is Bergaffe’s second wildly successful crowdfunding project in the industry. By taking the crowdfunding model, Bergaffe is able to help pre-finance early manufacturing while also offering exclusive pricing and options for their supporters.
