BioKill-120 Removes Smoke Odor from Homes

BioKill-120 automatically removes pollutants caused by wildfires, indoor wood fires, and tobacco smoke. Treated premises can be reoccupied in 120 minutes.

Clean Air Gear, a division of MicroSweep Corp., has introduced a new portable device that allows homeowners to quickly neutralize wildfire smoke odor from rooms and vehicles. The semi-automatic unit will also remove odors caused by tobacco use.

With the push of a button the device generates an internal cloud of hydroxyl radicals that destroy suspended organic pollutants including the chemical vapors that make up smoke.

The technology is unique because it uses temporary ozone to move odor molecules into its purifying hydroxyl field. During cleaning the device generates clean ozone using moist or dry air that causes odor molecules on surfaces to dislodge and suspend in the air being pulled into its purifying field.

It generates hydroxyl radicals from atmospheric moisture. Conventional ozone generators can’t use moist air because they would create new toxic contaminants, noxious nitrogen dioxide and caustic nitric acid.

BioKill-120 technology generates only clean ozone in moist air while also creating the purifying hydroxyl radicals. After destroying the smoke odor the device then neutralizes all the very ozone that it created.

“BioKill-120 automatically removes pollutants caused by wildfires, indoor wood fires, and tobacco smoke. Treated premises can be reoccupied in 120 minutes.” said John Edwards, President of Clean Air Gear.
