USA’s Own “Black Bond” Skyrockets into North Korea in “Sea On Fire!”
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) January 04, 2018 -- The recent tensions with North Korea and its nuclear program were the catalyst for the next story in the Knight series. Knight: Sea on Fire is a fast-paced, micro-novel built around the fictional character Tony Knight. Called the “Black Bond” for his lone wolf approach to saving the world, this time Tony Knight finds himself leading a team of multi-national hackers in a race against the clock to prevent World War III. Failure is not an option. Special Agent Tony Knight is the creation of award-winning full stack designer and author Anthony Phills.
“Like everyone else I am reading the latest world events and can’t help but feel a sense of dread,” says Phills. “On one hand you have Trump acknowledging the Deep State and even looking to setup his own internal spy group on the other we have Kim Jong-un rattling his nuclear saber. I tried to capture these headlines, but also give readers a peek into the shadow world of operatives and spies.”
Anthony Phills has been acknowledged as one of the top full stack designers in the world with a resume that includes projects for names like Jay-Z and Disney. Phills believes that the future of book authorship and delivery is Multi Platform Interactive (MPI), Binge Publishing. His latest work in the series, Sea of Fire, has a subject plucked from today’s news. It is a short adventure, a mini-thrill ride that follows Special Agent Tony Knight on a save-the-world mission to prevent a nuclear showdown with North Korea. What makes Sea of Fire different than other novellas, short stories, and micro-novels spread across the Internet is that it isn’t a standalone work, but a component of a larger MPI experience that includes novels, podcasts, mixtapes, blogs, music, apps, games, animation, augmented reality and steaming video.
“The modern reader isn’t waiting at the book store in hopes that his favorite author has released something that month. They are online, interacting with authors, subscribing to newsletters, and reading from their phones, tablets, and laptops,” says Phills. “They’re on Youtube watching reviewers talk about the book. They’re writing their own fanfiction of books when authors can’t put out books at a pace they require. I believe that the future of authorship will be micro-stories, wrapped in visuals, and augmented by music, games, and products.”
He believes this enough that he is already establishing his own publishing program he calls “Binge Publishing.” Sea of Fire is a free download at http://knighttrilogy.com/seaonfire meant to accompany and extend the universe created in The Knight Trilogy. This latest release comes with 5 new blogs, a new Blackout podcast, and 2 hour mixtape. With this onslaught of media, Phills says he’s catering to the “I want it now” generation.
