New Poetry and Prose Collection Intended to be ‘A Voice for the Voiceless’
ROBE, Australia (PRWEB) January 04, 2018 -- Kathy Parker’s new poetry and prose collection, “The Unravelled Heart” (published by Balboa Press AU) is a reflection of the ways people are undone through trauma and abuse, and the journey taken to find healing and restoration.
“Many of those who are victims of abuse are left without a voice; silenced by a shame that doesn’t belong to them. I wrote this book to be a voice to the voiceless. To put into words the suffering, the pain, and the grief over all that is lost through abuse, but also to empower – to bring hope, restoration and strength to readers and for them to know they are not alone on their healing journey.”
In language both “raw and empowering,” “The Unravelled Heart” offers a reflection on trauma, abuse, love, loss and healing. The collection was inspired by Parker’s own life experience as well as those of people who shared their stories with her.
