Sagoon Raises $4.8M, Launches Social Commerce App Enabling Users To Connect, Share, and Earn
WASHINGTON D.C. (PRWEB) January 09, 2018 -- Sagoon, the social commerce platform enabling its users to Connect, Share, and Earn, today announced the public availability of its mobile app within the Google Play Store. As of today, the company’s 1.1M+ web platform users will have access to their Sagoon accounts through the mobile app, allowing them to continue engaging with family and friends from their preferred Android device.
The Company also announced it has raised $4.8M in funding, following the close of its first Regulation A+ offering on November 30, 2017. Of the $4.8M raised, $3.3M was secured through more than 3,000 investors within the Regulation A+ offering. The other $1.5M was secured through private funding.
Sagoon solves a glaring problem in today’s U.S. social media landscape – U.S. social networks are not set up for ecommerce. Direct commerce between users and sellers and amongst users is prohibited, and users earn no financial rewards for being a direct source of revenue. There is also a missed opportunity to make gift cards, coupon offers, and discounts purely social. Key features of Sagoon include:
- My Day: Enhance your productivity and simplify your life by creating schedules, to-do lists, and setting reminders. Share these activities with your friends to plan meet-ups around your schedules.
- Mood Talk: Mood Talk is a chat feature that enables users to communicate using “moods” rather than words, as a real-time expression for how you are feeling at a given time. Users can set custom moods to happy, sad, sick, etc., which vanish after 24 hours.
- Secret: Secret allows users to learn, explore, and experience different ideas and communities within the comfort of an anonymous space. Users can share their secret to the public and seek advice without being judged, or send one-on-one secret messages that vanish after they are read.
Another feature, called Social Smart Card, is under development and planned for release in Q4 of 2018. The Social Smart Card is a digital card for all the shopping and gifting needs of users. It will allow Sagoon users to earn money while shopping, redeeming coupons, and gifting their loved ones. Every Sagoon user will receive a FREE Social Smart Card. Currently there is no other social media channel that offers shopping and gifting in one place through a Social Smart Card, which will eventually give all users a share in Sagoon’s earnings.
