Golf Academy Of America Sponsors Tee It Up For The Troops’ Reunion Event
ORLANDO, Fla. (PRWEB) January 09, 2018 -- Golf Academy of America announced today that it is sponsoring the upcoming Tee It Up for the Troops REUNION Outreach Program. The event, which will take place Jan. 11 – 14, 2018 at Orlando’s Reunion Resort, is Tee It Up for the Troops’ premier event of the year. This is the seventh annual REUNION Outreach program, and 75 veterans from across the country are expected to attend the three-day event.
As a key sponsor, Golf Academy of America will send members of its faculty and staff to assist at the event. Campus President of Golf Academy of America in OrlandoBrad Turner will give a short, informative speech at the Warrior and Caregiver Resource Expo on Thursday, January 11, discussing how Golf Academy of America can help veterans launch a new career in the golf industry.
Additionally, Golf Academy of America will bring the latest Trackman technology to the event. Both on Thursday, January 11 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. and on Saturday, January 13 from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m., PGA members on staff at Golf Academy of America will demonstrate Trackman’s capabilities and perform evaluations to give the participating veterans data-driven feedback on their swing.
The REUNION Outreach program was created to reunite combat wounded veterans from across the country. Many of these men and women use golf as a rehabilitative tool, and the tournament is meant to help ease their transition from the military into civilian life.
“The Tee It Up for the Troops REUNION Outreach Program does a great job of bringing together veterans with shared experiences for three days of golfing, and we are so pleased to be a part of that,” said Turner. “These are veterans who love golf, and Golf Academy of America has helped shape the future of many veterans in a positive way. This partnership is a natural fit for us.”
Golf Academy of America will have an additional presence at the event; among the competitors are a Golf Academy of America employee and a Golf Academy of America graduate.
