Crain’s New York Business magazine selected Mitchell for its 2017 list recognizing the most influential women lawyers in New York, according to the publication. Mitchell is co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's National Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice, a regional operating shareholder, and co-managing shareholder for the firm’s New York office.
Mitchell focuses her practice on representing debtors, acquirers, and creditors in complex distressed situations that require creative and sophisticated financial solutions. She regularly works on complex distressed deals that involve identifying common ground between the constituents or points of leverage to drive negotiations. Mitchell uses her background as both an attorney and investment banker to navigate the interplay between business and law and engineer business-oriented solutions unique to each client's legal and regulatory needs.
