Kansas City Regional Association Of REALTORS® Expand Service Territory With Recent Merger Of St. Joseph Regional Association Of REALTORS®
LEAWOOD, Kan. (PRWEB) January 11, 2018 -- The Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® (KCRAR) announced this week the expansion of their regional service territory, which now includes 25 counties across Missouri and Kansas. This growth is the result of a recent decision by the neighboring St. Joseph Regional Association of REALTORS® to dissolve their organization effective Jan. 1, 2018 and to merge into KCRAR.
Through this merger, the more than 250 former members of the St. Joseph Regional Association will become part of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® as the St. Joseph Chapter of KCRAR. The 2017 President of the St. Joseph Association will serve on the KCRAR Board of Directors for a two-year term.
The St. Joseph Multiple Listing Service (MLS) will continue to operate through the 1st Quarter of 2018, with a full data conversion scheduled for this Spring. At that time, St. Joseph MLS’s data will be fully integrated into the KCRAR-owned, Heartland MLS system – a change that will benefit both REALTORS® and consumers across the region in terms of convenience and access to better MLS technologies and more complete regional real estate data – totaling more than 12,000 active listings and more than $3.2 billion in inventory.
“We have been discussing the possibility of a merger for years. It is a true testament to both associations’ leadership in identifying the benefits of regionalizing and making this a reality for our members,” CEO of the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® Kipp Cooper stated.
The St. Joseph Association office at 2001 Jules St. will remain staffed and operational throughout 2018 and members will also gain access to expanded services and educational offerings available at the KCRAR and Heartland MLS office in Leawood, Kan.
In addition to providing access to enhanced services, benefits and business tools for St. Joseph-area REALTORS®, KCRAR is also dedicated to preserving the former organization’s involvement in and support of the St. Joseph community through continued community involvement and outreach efforts.
