Mathseeds, the Highly Engaging Children’s Math Program, Releases a New Map
(PRWEB) January 11, 2018 -- Mathseeds has released their latest map, which features five new math lessons targeting Grade 3 math concepts.
The new Map 37 features five online destinations where children can learn and apply their math skills to real-word situations. The highly engaging online activities range from keeping basketball scores in Chicago to working out train times in Melbourne, Australia.
Mathseeds now features 185 self-paced lessons for children aged three to nine. Children are guided by fun online characters like Mango the monkey and Dizzy the dragon, who explain complex math concepts in an interesting and easy-to-understand way.
Each map is set in a unique virtual destination, where children progress through lessons at their own pace. The program offers fun rewards and incentives to enhance children’s motivation and keep them on task for longer.
Map 37 teaches children how to recognize which unit of measure is the most appropriate for different situations, solve a variety of addition and subtraction word problems using different strategies, and add simple fractions that share the same denominator.
Mathseeds was created by the same team of publishers as Reading Eggs, the multi-award winning learn-to-read program. The very first lesson starts at the very beginning of a child’s math journey – learning about the number 1. Children who already have some math knowledge can take a placement test at the beginning of the program, which matches them to the appropriate starting level.
The program aligns to state standards and includes detailed reporting, lesson plans, correlation charts and assessment opportunities for elementary teachers.
