Ultra Electronics Announces the Class 1, Division 2 Hazardous Location Certification on HyperSpike® MA Series Speakers
Columbia City, IN (PRWEB) January 11, 2018 -- Ultra Electronics-USSI announces today that HyperSpike® MA Series Omni-Directional Speaker Arrays have acquired UL1480A listing and Class 1, Division 2 Groups A, B, C, and D Hazardous Location Certification. This new certification permits the MA-Micro, MA-1 and MA-2 high power speakers to provide safety compliant mass notification solutions into oil, gas, petrochemical and other hazardous locations.
Leading the industry in voice intelligibility, HyperSpike® MA Series speaker technology achieves exceptional STI ratings, ensuring all emergency communications are clearly transmitted and heard; even in high noise environments. Housed in an all-composite, waterproof, UV resistant enclosure, these powerful emitters produce an acoustic output ranging from 134dB – 148dB positioning the MA Series as the ideal choice for hazardous locations.
With the ever-increasing need for flexibility in mass notification, the MA-1 and MA-2 have an effective communications range of use up to 12 square miles and are customizable for right-size sectored notification; minimizing the effect on neighboring areas and businesses.
Patrick Allison, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for USSI commented: “There is substantial opportunity to upgrade the safety and security of high-risk environments around the globe. We are pleased to expand the distribution of our life-saving HyperSpike® mass notification speakers to hazardous locations where it is critical that emergency messages are heard and understood.”
