NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 15, 2018
Wayne Nicolsen, a passionate writer born and raised in Long Island, New York, and a Navy for four years, has completed his new book “Don't Look Between the Leaves”: an enthralling story about an old warrior in a quest to defend his home from a long forgotten evil seeking to terrorized and destroy everything in its wake.
Author Nicolsen reminds of the lost wisdom of fearing the dark and the uncanny: “Later that night as a buck stood silhouetted in the moonlight, the beast attacked its unsuspecting prey and fed on its large carcass. With its bloodlust fulfilled, it stalked back into the darkness toward the place it called home, the eastern side of the nuclear plant, where close to the woods was a gigantic tear in the security fence. How or why it knew to go there was a mystery. But its instinct told it that it would be safe there in the shadows that were quickly dawning into daylight. With a great scream, as in immense pain, it collapsed into sleep, and as it slept, it began to transform again into human form. Once transformed, several men armed with nets, rope, and strong sedating syringes carried the sleeping form into the bowels of the- plant. The town would be safe for yet another month, until the creature would again reemerge to terrorize all who dared risk crossing its path.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Wayne Nicolsen’s otherworldly tale also delves into the struggles of trying to save everyone from harm, and the sacrifices one has to make to ensure the lives of the helpless and mundane.
Readers who wish to experience this surreal masterwork can purchase“Don't Look Between the Leaves” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, Kobo, or Barnes and Noble.
