The Fordham Real Estate Institute at Lincoln Center is pleased to announce the launch of a breakfast event series that will bring together industry leaders throughout the year to discuss the emerging trends making the biggest impact on the real estate world.

The series will kick-off on January 24 with a panel co-hosted by the Real Estate Services Alliance (RESA), “Tax Reform’s Impact on the Real Estate Market.” Keynote presenter Richard Shapiro, Director at Eisner Amper, will demystify the new tax bill, reviewing the changes that individuals and businesses will face starting this year. From there, a panel of market leaders will discuss the impact on both the residential and commercial real estate markets and share insights on what to expect in 2018. The panel will feature:

  • Brad Klatt, Co-founder, Roseland Property Company, Canoe Brook Partners
  • Jimmy Hinton, Managing Director of Research, HFF
  • Jonathan Miller, CEO, Miller Samuel Inc.
  • Mike Stattery, SVP Research, Real Estate Board of New York

The second event of the series is scheduled for February 13, when Michael Stoler, real estate expert, co-chair of the Fordham University Real Estate Institute Industry Outreach Committee and adjunct faculty member, hosts, “Transit-Oriented Developments: NYC, Long Island, New Jersey, Westchester – Developer, Lender, Planner Perspective.” Stoler hosted the Real Estate Institute’s first ever event last March, where he lead a panel of 11 industry leaders who discussed residential real estate trends and forecasts to a standing-room only crowd. Confirmed panelists for the upcoming discussion include:

  • Luiz Aragon, Commissioner, Department of Development, City of New Rochelle
  • Joe Cotter, head of National Resources
