Indigo-Clean appoints Director of Sales and New Business Development to Serve Rapidly Growing Demand For Its Continuous Environmental Disinfection Solution
KENOSHA, Wis. (PRWEB) January 10, 2018 -- Kenall has hired a veteran medical device sales executive, Mr. Scott Jackson, to help manage the rapidly-expanding demand for Indigo-Clean Continuous Environmental Disinfection at healthcare facilities throughout the United States.
Scott comes to Indigo-Clean from Landauer, Inc., where he was a three-time National Sales Manager of the Year. Previously, Scott also had a highly successful career at Ethicon, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. As Director of Sales and New Business Development, it will be Scott’s responsibility to drive the growth of the Indigo-Clean business unit, which will include forecasting, lead generation, pipeline management and sales force development. “I’m tremendously excited to expand on this cutting edge technology breakthrough that helps hospitals with one of their most pressing needs, preventing hospital acquired infections (HAIs).” Scott currently resides in Connecticut and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Connecticut.
Cliff Yahnke, Ph.D., Director of Clinical Affairs for Indigo-Clean is also enthusiastic about adding Scott to the team: “We conducted a thorough national search for this position and feel fortunate to have found Scott. His talent, track record and entrepreneurial spirit will be of great benefit to our Indigo-Clean customers. He puts the customer first and focuses on how to help them solve the challenges they face in providing superior health care to their patients.”
Indigo-Clean fixtures use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to generate visible white light that also contains a narrow spectrum of indigo colored light. This indigo color uses a wavelength of 405 nanometers (nm) to automatically, safely and continuously disinfect the air, and hard and soft surfaces. The 405nm light is absorbed by molecules within bacteria, producing a chemical reaction that kills the bacteria from the inside as if common household bleach has been released within the bacterial cells. When the OR is not being used, the lights can be switched to an Indigo-only mode, providing a higher degree of safe disinfection.
Indigo-Clean is currently being utilized in a number of leading U.S. hospitals and clinics, including Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee, Henderson and Spring Valley Hospitals in Henderson and Las Vegas, Nevada, and Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. These case studies, and others, are available on indigo-clean.com.
