Bridge Engineering Firm Modjeski and Masters Appoints New Chief Executive Officer
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (PRWEB) January 10, 2018 -- Modjeski and Masters, a nationwide leader in bridge design, inspection, and research today announces the promotion of Michael Britt to Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The appointment comes shortly after Dr. Barney Martin Jr., retiring CEO, announced his transition into an advisory role at the end of 2017.
Britt, who was promoted to President in 2017, will be responsible for executing the firm’s strategic direction, safeguarding long-term success and guiding complex projects at a managerial and technical level. Dr. Barney Martin, who formerly filled the role of Chief Executive Officer, will continue involvement with the firm as Board Member Emeritus and Senior Technical Advisor.

Britt began his career with Modjeski and Masters in 1979 as a co-op student while attending Drexel University. Britt briefly left Modjeski and Masters in 1989 to serve as the Assistant Division Bridge Engineer in the Pennsylvania Division of the Federal Highway Administration. Upon being hired back full-time, he served as Director of Business Development for several years before being promoted to Associate in 1997. In his most recent role, he served as President and Chief Marketing Officer.
