Multacom CEO Kiarash Jahangiri said “We are proud of our team’s efforts in continuing our record of not just achieving SOC 2 compliance, but doing so with no exceptions noted.”

Multacom, the web host that makes the net work, has reconfirmed the leading security and reliability of its services with the successful completion of its annual auditor’s examination for Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 compliance. The SOC 2 Type 2 report was completed by independent third-party auditor Schellman & Company, LLC, and provides assurance to Multacom customers in regulated industries of the quality and effectiveness of its data center operations.
Multacom provides its co-location and dedicated server customers with the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy they need, as defined in the Trust Service Principles that enable online transactions and exchanges of sensitive information. This allows Multacom customers to maintain and prove their own compliance with information control regulations.
The examination was completed with no exceptions noted by the auditors, as has been the case in each of Multacom’s prior Soc 2 Type 2 auditor’s examinations. Multacom’s system was found to be fairly presented, with controls suitable to provide reasonable assurance that the applicable trust services criteria would be met, and with all controls tested operating effectively throughout the test period.
“Both the threat and regulatory landscapes have continued to become more challenging for businesses, requiring them to adopt the highest standards of security and availability for their IT systems,” said Multacom Chief Executive Officer Kiarash Jahangiri. “This latest SOC 2 Type 2 report demonstrates the consistent effectiveness of controls that keep our customers compliant with regulations like PCI and HIPAA, and keep their data and IT environments secure. We are proud of our team’s efforts in continuing our record of not just achieving SOC 2 compliance, but doing so with no exceptions noted.”
SOC2 is the standard for non-reporting controls on security, availability, processing integrity, and system privacy. It is based on Trust Service Principles in the areas of policies, communications, procedures, and monitoring. A SOC2 Type 2 report provides companies with sensitive information and compliance concerns with a detailed assessment of the design and operating effectiveness of controls, whereas Type 1 reports only on the design
