New Master Certificated Instructor Continues APS Tradition of Exceeding Training Standards

(PRWEB) January 12, 2018 -- Aviation Performance Solutions (APS) announced today that Larry “Bat” Cross has earned the Master Certificated Flight Instructor (MCFI) designation, with the additional Aerobatic distinction, accredited by Master Instructors LLC. The MCFI-A accreditation is one component of the high standards that must be met by APS instructors in order to qualify the as top Upset Prevention & Recovery Training (UPRT) experts in the industry.
Larry’s vast experience of more than 40 years in every type of aviation has successfully prepared him for his current position as an APS Advanced Instructor Pilot. After graduating from Youngstown State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Larry began training as a U.S. Air Force pilot. He went on to become an instructor and was hand-picked to instruct at NATO’s premier large force employment school in Florennes, Belgium. His final assignment in a long and distinguished career in the USAF was on the staff of the Air Combat Command Inspector General, where he was directly responsible for assessing the combat readiness of all operational tactical aircraft in the USAF. After serving in the Air Force, he continued to work as a civilian instructor and pilot for a major domestic Airline. Larry came to APS in June, 2017 and received additional training in UPRT specific instruction.
