ERASE Racism Condemns Racist Remarks By President Trump
SYOSSET, Long Island (PRWEB) January 12, 2018 -- ERASE Racism strongly condemns the president’s hateful & racist remarks regarding Haiti, El Salvador, and countries in Africa. We stand in strong solidarity with immigrant communities of color. The United States and all citizens benefit from their numerous, invaluable contributions.
Long Island is an increasingly diverse region. We are home to many immigrant communities.
For 17 years, ERASE Racism has documented, exposed, and taken action against racism, discrimination, and hate. We are well equipped to identify structural racism and its many forms and manifestations. Let there be no doubt that the president’s comments are not just xenophobic and anti-immigrant, but racist.
We urge all people of good will – especially those with a public voice – to not only oppose the president’s remarks but let our immigrant neighbors and citizens know that they are supported and their contributions are valued.
