Mimi Tran Collection Joins J Winter Fashion Show 2018
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) January 25, 2018 -- San Francisco-based designer Mimi Tran announced that she is set to unveil her “Snow Flake” Collection at next month’s J Winter Fashion Show February 6, 2018 12PM on the deck of the international luxury cruise ship Costa neoRomantica stationed along Kowloon Bay and overlooking the Hong Kong skyline. The Mimi Tran Collection of evening dresses will be part of select featured designer brands for the runway show that turns the ship into what is being described as "sky-high ocean catwalk”. For the show, Mimi Tran introduces fifteen new pieces designed to represent the apparent distinction of each snowflake and the endless variations of patterns to be found in them. The color palette comprises uncommonly rendered icy tones of gold, hunter green, and dark pink among others. Detailing is further enhanced by cutting edge dimensional patterns to evoke depth while showcasing the brand’s signature artisanal hand beading and the use of colors to full effervescent effect.
According to Mimi Tran, “I’m so thrilled to participate in the J Winter Fashion Show 2018. Producer Jessica Minh Anh has been such an inspiration for her bold staging of experiential shows that taking part in this presentation is truly a wonderful opportunity.” Ms. Anh of JMM Paris is renowned for putting together brands to create a singular fashion experience which she hosts at unusual locations that have previously included the Eiffel Tower, London’s Tower Bridge, Grand Canyon Skywalk, and One World Trade Center. For this upcoming invitation-only event, guests are expected to board the Costa neoRomantica at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, 33 Shing Fung Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The show will then be followed by a VIP reception with drinks, canapes and live musical performances.
About MIMI TRAN
Conceived in 2013, the MIMI TRAN Collection represents the culmination of designer Mimi Tran’s dedication to design. Born in Vietnam, Mimi relocated to Paris at the age of seven where she eventually attended boarding school and was recognized as a gifted child in free style art before moving to the United States at 14. The Mimi Tran brand began with cocktail dresses that sculpted the body and accentuated feminine curves. The growing demand encouraged her to finally design red carpet-ready evening gowns - cut close to the body but draped for graceful movement from silk blends, all awash in scintillating colors. Since its launch, the brand has drawn a loyal following among fashion aficionados for the sophistication of her black and gold gowns and has evolved to even more daring creations. Today, the San Francisco-based label is sold worldwide in specialty boutiques and stores.
